Responder uses the Smart Grid Integration Framework to integrate with AMI and process meter events. To configure Responder to use the Smart Grid Integration Framework to process AMI events, perform the following configurations.
The first set of steps may have already been completed. The standard Responder configuration is necessary in order to process AMI events.
Before You Begin: When installing and configuring Responder, you set up a Responder Services user. This login is also used to run the Smart Grid windows services as well as the web services. Ensure you have the proper permissions assigned to the Responder Services user. This information is discussed on the Responder Services user page.
The next set of steps are necessary only if you wish to process AMI events using Responder and the Smart Grid Integration Framework.
