Telvent provides a suite of products that may be integral to your Smart Grid solution. These applications will be available only if you have the proper licensing. Contact Telvent for licensing information. Regardless of licensing, the online help for these tools is available.

Responder

Responder is a GIS hosted, distributed Outage Management System (OMS) that focuses on providing the most valuable information to the right people for storm restoration as well as during daily operations, allowing them to make informed decisions. Its user-friendly interface and intuitive menus allow dispatchers to perform their tasks quickly and efficiently, thus restoring power as fast as possible and making concise choices on where to dispatch crews for maximum impact based on both geographical and tabular data.

Responder's TroubleMaker application allows utilities to use customer call information to simulate a call submission environment for dispatcher training or performance testing. TroubleMaker uses the call information in your database to submit calls to Responder. You may also use the AMI Events tab to simulate AMI events from meters.

Smart Operations Solution

The Smart Operations Solution provides real-time management of your electric network. Smart Operations gives you the power to integrate your GIS (ArcFM Solution), OMS (Responder), SCADA (OASyS), and analysis engine (DMS). This integration allows you to easily manage both telemetry and non-telemetry data.

Network Adapter-DMS

Network Adapter allows the user to import feeder information into DMS for analysis. It retrieves user-specified data (feeder information) from the geodatabase and imports it into DMS for analysis using MultiSpeak-compliant XML. DMS and this implementation of Network Adapter are part of Telvent's SmartGrid solution.

Installing any part of Responder or Smart Operations Solution onto an Active Directory Domain Controller machine is not recommended or supported.
