Version: 10.1 |
The Smart Operations Solution provides real-time management of your electric network. Smart Operations gives you the power to integrate your GIS (ArcFM Solution), OMS (Responder), SCADA (OASyS), and analysis engine (DMS). This integration allows you to easily manage both telemetry and non-telemetry data.
Integrate Responder with OASyS to access telemetry data. Network Adapter may be used to supply DMS with NormalStatus information from the GIS database. You can choose to integrate with either OASyS or DMS, or both. If you elect to integrate with both, the process flow will be similar to Figure 1. These configurations are discussed in this section. In order to provide NormalStatus information to DMS, you will need to configure Network Adapter Implementation #6.
Login User: The installation/configuration of the SOS applications should be done with the same login user that will be used to run the Responder services and the Smart Grid listener (e.g., domain\RxApp). In order to perform the installation/configuration, this login user must have Administrator privileges. However, for security purposes, Telvent recommends making this user a non-administrator user after installation and configuration are complete.
Machines: The Smart Operations Solution recommends multiple machines for the various applications. Following is a list of machines and the applications installed on each. You can choose to install multiple applications on a single machine (e.g., install DMS on the OASyS Server). Keep in mind that the more applications installed on a single machine, the greater impact on performance.
