The Smartgrid Listener service should be run by the same login user that runs the Responder service (e.g., RxApp). This user is created automatically and set as the login user for the Smartgrid Listener service. However, if for some reason this fails, the login user will need to be changed manually. Use the following steps to change this user.

1. Open the Computer Management window (e.g., right-click My Computer and select Manage).
2. Expand Services and Applications and select Services.
3. On the right side of the screen, scroll down to Smartgrid Listener Service. If this service has been started, right-click it and select Stop.
4. Right-click the stopped Smartgrid Listener Service and select Properties.
5. Click the Log On tab and select the This Account radio button.
6. Enter the login name for the user that runs the Responder service (e.g., ./RxApp).
7. Enter the password for the login user.
8. Click OK.
9. Start the Smartgrid Listener Service.
