This work flow assumes that an editor on the Enterprise creates a redline session, then sends it to a field editor. This work flow is less common.
- Retrieve Redline Sessions: (optional): If your administrator has configured Geodatabase Replication to automatically send and receive sessions, this step is not necessary. Otherwise, execute the the Send/Receive Mobile Data task to receive data from the enterprise. This final task requires a network connection.
- Open Redline Session: Select a session in Session Manager, then execute the Open Redline Session task to open it in ArcFM Viewer.
- Navigate/Query Map: While using ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine or ArcFM Viewer (Desktop) in the field, all ArcFM Viewer tools (e.g., Locator, Identify, Tracing) are available to the user.
- Place Graphics: Use the Active Annotation Target list to select the annotation layer in which graphics are stored. Place graphics on the map using the Graphics tab. Save and close session when finished. Graphics are stored as part of the selected annotation layer.
- Digital Ink and Gestures (ArcFM Engine Only): The Digital Ink and Gestures tools available in ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine are also available with Redliner (only if you're using Redliner on ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine).
- Send Redlines: There are two options for sending your redline edits to the Enterprise. The first option is the easiest and most commonly used. 1) Use the Send Session task or button to select a user and send the session to the enterprise. 2) Use the Send Session to Enterprise task to submit the graphic session to an enterprise user.
- Send/Receive Mobile Data (optional): If your administrator has configured Geodatabase Replication to automatically send and receive sessions, this step is not necessary. Otherwise, execute the the Send/Receive Mobile Data task to send data to the enterprise (and retrieve any data sent from the enterprise). This final task requires a network connection.
