After a switching order has been assigned to an incident, it may be unassigned as long as none of the steps have been executed. Right-click the switching order on the Incidents tab and select Unassign. The switching order is removed from the incident.
The switching order is returned to the Switch Order Library and resides in the root folder (Library) regardless of where it may have been placed before assignment.
