Using Responder
Unassign Crew

Version: 10.1

Resource Center Home

Available in Responder Explorer.

A crew that has been assigned to an incident may be unassigned. For example, a crew may have been assigned to an incident and dispatched. When the crew reached the device, they found it was working properly. At this point, the crew may be unassigned and the incident closed since no work will be done.

Quick Steps

Unassign Crew

  1. Expand Incident.
  2. Right-click crew.
  3. Select Unassign Crew.
  1. Expand an incident in the Incidents tab. You may unassign a crew by right-clicking the crew, the incident device, hazard, or location feature and selecting Unassign Crew.
  2. If you have selected a device, feature or hazard with more than one crew assigned, you will be prompted to select one.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the crew(s) you wish to unassign and click OK.

The crew is removed from the incident. If no other crews remain, the incident's status changes to Unassigned. If an incident has two crews assigned and the user unassigns the lead crew, Responder makes the remaining crew the lead.
