When using Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to start the Responder web browser, you may see the following error: "Unexpected Error 0x8ffe2740 Occurred".
This behavior may occur if a port conflict exists on the system. By default, IIS uses port 80 for HTTP communication. If another application is using port 80 on the same IP address (and currently running), you may receive the error message when you try to use IIS Manager to start the Responder web site.
To resolve this issue, perform one of the following tasks:
Use IIS Manager to change the port bindings for the Responder website to a port other than port 80.
Stop the other application using port 80 and then start the Responder web site using IIS Manager.
