Version: 10.1 |
When launching the Responder web browser, you may encounter the following error: "Access to C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\Miner and Miner\Responder\Cache\DataSetConfig.cache is denied"
This error indicates that the Network Service user does not have access to the Cache directory. Ensure that the folder indeed exists. If it does not, it must be created.
To correct this issue, follow these steps:
Browse to the Cache folder. For example: C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\Miner and Miner\Responder\Cache
Right-click the Cache folder and select Properties.
Select the Security tab and click Add.
Click the Advanced button and select Find Now.
In the window at the bottom, browse to and select Network Service.
Click OK.
Click OK to dismiss the Select Users, Computers or Groups window.
On the Properties window (Security tab), give the Network Service user full permissions.
Click OK.
Start the Responder web browser.
