Configuring Responder/Smart Grid
Assign Permissions for Responder Services User

Version: 10.1

Resource Center Home

Telvent PubSub requires that the Responder Services user have permissions to access the Program Files\Telvent directory. In a previous step, you assigned a user to run the Responder Services (Responder Service Login). The following steps walk you through granting the appropriate permissions.

  1. Browse to the Telvent installation directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\Telvent\). Be careful not to confuse this with the TelventInstall directory. Look for the folder entitled Telvent (NOT TelventInstall).
  2. Right-click the Telvent directory and select Properties.
  3. Select the Security tab and click Add.
  4. In the "Enter object names to select" field, enter your Responder Services user and click Check Names. When you click Check Names, it finds your domain Responder Services user and populates the "Enter the object names to select" field.
