Mobile ArcFM

Mobile ArcFM provides all the functionality of the enterprise while in the field. The mobile user has full editing capabilities, and can create or delete features while in the field.

Required Licenses in the Field: ArcFM

Field Databases: Backdrop, Login (optional), Session Manager

Perform the following steps to configure Mobile ArcFM in the field.

STEP 1: Set Up Directory Structure 

Mobile Directory Permissions

Geodatabase Replication Directory Permissions

Update Replication Service Login 

STEP 2: Configure Graphic Annotation 

Optional. Perform this configuration if you wish to store graphics in an annotation layer. 

STEP 3: Create Backdrop Geodatabase 

Perform the optional configurations below ONLY if you do not have a Login database. The Backdrop Replica step is necessary.

Create/Import Graphic Favorites (optional)

Import Feature Favorites (optional)

OPTIONAL: Create Login Database 

The Login database is necessary only if you wish to provide the field user with user/system favorites. If you aren't using favorites, there's no need for the Login database. If you have no login database, graphic favorites can be imported into the Backdrop.

STEP 4: Create Session Manager Database 

Configure Enterprise Process Framework Database

Configure Field Process Framework Database

STEP 5:  Create Replicas 

STEP 6: Set Up Mobile Synchronizer

Using Mobile Synchronizer

STEP 7: Deploy to Multiple Client Machines
