Configure Web Service

This section discusses how to configure your Geodatabase Replication web service. The web service may reside on the same machine as the Replication Server or it may reside separately. Proper configuration of the web service (as described in this section) ensures security. For information about hardware and software requirements, refer to the Geodatabase Replication Read Me.

Local Implementation		Distributed Implementation
Use this implementation if your web service does NOT require access to the network (i.e., the web service resides on the same machine as the replication server). This implementation is the simplest. This implementation uses the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. If you are using version 6 of IIS Manager, please refer to the topics in the Classic Local implementation section. If you are using version 7 of IIS Manager, please refer to the Local Implementation Using IIS7 section. After you've configured your replication web server, you will need to configure the web service for each replica you wish to set up. Note that a Process Framework replica does not require the web service.
