ArcFM Desktop > ArcFM > Configure Electric Tracing |
To configure Electric Tracing, you must first configure Feeder Manager.
Electric Tracing depends on the electric trace weight that Feeder Manager maintains through the Initialize Electric Trace Weights function and multiple autoupdaters. If your trace weights have not been initialized correctly these tracing options will not work. If you have configured Feeder Manager according to this guide and Feeder Manager is running correctly, your electric trace weights have been set. Schneider Electric strongly recommends configuring Feeder Manager. However, if you wish to configure Electric Tracing without Feeder Manager, you will need to write a custom tool to initialize trace weights and custom autoupdaters to maintain the Electric Trace Weights in your network. You may also need to register the appropriate .dll files to ensure Electric Tracing works properly.
Step 1: Set Up Electric Tracing
If you choose to use Electric Tracing without configuring Feeder Manager, the ArcFM Upstream Trace tool will NOT be available. The Upstream Trace tool requires that Feeder Manager be configured. |
