Overhead Design Analysis > Assemblies in Assembly Creator > Settings Tab |
Access the Settings tab to set control certain aspects of Overhead Design Analysis (OHDA) and the Assembly Creator (AC) environment.
Select either Imperial or Metric unit of measurements. If you change the units, you will need to click Apply then close and reopen the program to see your changes. These changes are applied to both AC and OHDA.
Choose to use the default library location or a custom one. If you choose a custom location, you have the option of selecting Copy Current Library to Selected Location to have the current assembly library copied. Alternatively, you can start with a clean repository in the location you set.
The default location is the bin directory where the program is installed. To load the library from a custom directory, click the Custom Location option and point to that directory. If any setting is missing in the library location, the default resources will be loaded.
To copy the current library to a new location, choose the new location and select Copy Current Library to Selected Location. Note that this will overwrite whatever library you have in the new location.
To load from a new location without overwriting the library in that location, do not select the Copy Current Library to Current Location.
Using a single repository location is a good idea for large groups that need consistency. Rather than each individual user using their own default location, everyone with access to the network can use files stored there. The Administrator must set up and maintain this location.
