Connection Style

Resource Center Home

The Connection Style determines how spans are joined at an angle. The Template Favorite tool offers three options: mitered, beveled, and rounded. The Connection Style refers to the outer edge of the sketch.

The mitered connection style offsets the span from the sketch line without changing the angle. Mitered is the default value for this field.

Mitered Connection

When an angle is smaller, a mitered offset would greatly increase the distance between A and B. In this case you may want to use a beveled or rounded connection style. Beveled connects the two spans at the angle with a straight span, while rounded uses a rounded span.
