ArcFM Desktop > ArcFM > Feeder Manager > Which Feeder Manager should I use? > Configure Feeder Manager 2.0 From Scratch > Step 11: Define Ultimate Sources and Subsources |
If you are using Subsources, then Feeder Manager 2.0 requires that you designate certain point feature classes of your choice as Subsources. There are various ways to do this, and Option 1 is the fastest.
Option 1: Update Subsources
First, set all existing Feeder Manager sources as Subsource. The autoupdaters you assigned earlier will write all of these sources to the CircuitSourceID table and define them as UltimateSources as necessary.
Option 2: Define an Ultimate Source Upstream of Current Circuit Source
If you wish to define an ultimate source upstream of an existing circuit source, follow the steps below.
By default, Feeder Manager 2.0 defines your ultimate sources as the most upstream devices in the network.
Option 1: Do Nothing
If you have assigned all autoupdaters as prescribed in this section, the autoupdaters will fire and determine the ultimate sources for you.
Option 2: Define an Ultimate Source Upstream of Current Circuit Source
If you wish to define an ultimate source upstream of an existing CircuitSource, you will need to follow the steps below. Any feature with one of the following model names can be recognized as an ultimate source, provided it is a junction feature that participates in the electric network and it has a related row in the Circuit Source table (step 4 below).
Follow these steps to define an ultimate source. Note that the feature class must have one of the above model names assigned.
Refer to this topic for definitions of ultimate sources and subsources, and read the section regarding how those sources work. |
