This online help is the place to find information about customizing your ArcFM Desktop Solution. Here you will find sample code, technical documents, and object model diagrams. ArcFM Desktop offers a vast suite of applications for use with ArcGIS for Desktop.

Desktop ArcFM customizations in .NET must target .NET Framework 3.5. We cannot assure correct behavior of ArcFM Objects in later versions of the .NET Framework because the later frameworks run in their own stack.

ArcFM Solution Basics

This section offers information about the basics of customizing your ArcFM Solution application. Use this section to learn about autoupdaters, the model name manager, component registration and more.

  

Desktop Basics

This section offers information about the basics of customizing your ArcFM Desktop application (e.g., List Trees, Active X Controls, etc.).

 

ArcFM

This section introduces you to methods for customizing and extending ArcFM™. It discusses the concepts involved in extending ArcFM, and then reinforces those discussions by walking through examples.

  

Designer

This section offers a technical explanation of the components provided with Designer and will discuss concepts involved in its implementation. Included in these discussions will be many examples to reinforce the concepts.

 

Network Adapter

This section provides a technical explanation of the components in the Network Adapter data flow framework and discusses the concepts involved in implementing those components. Included in these discussions are many examples to reinforce these concepts.

  

Process Framework

The Process Framework offers utilities a way to develop a process management extension to ArcFM. The ArcFM and Designer installations provide Session Manager and Workflow Manager as sample process management modules. The Process Framework Administration tool provides administrators with a user-friendly interface for manipulating the tables associated with your extension.

 

.NET Assemblies
