Application Framework

The Application Framework provides general user interface support for some ArcFM Solution products such as ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine and Responder. The Application Framework controls user interface components such as toolbars, commands and dockable windows. The following sections discuss components that may be integrated with the Application Framework and displayed in the user interface.

	Licensing This section describes how to specify the correct Responder and Esri licenses.		Implementing Customizations When adding custom objects, such as toolbars, tools and buttons, you must add them to the appropriate Custom Layout file to ensure they appear in the ArcFM Viewer user interface.

	Commands and Controls You may add custom tools to the user interface (e.g., buttons, menu items). This section discusses how to create a custom tool and load it onto a toolbar.		Toolbars You may add custom commands to existing toolbars in the user interface. This section discusses how to load tools onto a toolbar.

The Application Framework is used by various ArcFM Solution products and referenced in multiple customization help sections. Not all topics and code samples apply to all applications. Each topic lists the applications to which the customization is available.
