Overhead Design Analysis - Using > Tabs > Poles > Pole Details, Components, and Notes > Assemblies > Edit an Assembly |
On the Poles tab, double-click the assembly you want to edit. Alternatively, double-click the assembly in 3D view to target for editing. Both methods open the Edit Assembly form and highlight the targeted assembly in yellow in 3D view.
Follow these steps to swap an assembly:

OHDA will only display valid assemblies for swapping. Assemblies must:

The Apply to All Poles selection works with assemblies on the same vertical level. Consequently, you may have an instance where a conductor changes assembly levels in the scenario. In this instance, Apply to All Poles will not swap all assemblies that hold the conductor. |

If one pole in the scenario violates a swapping rule, then the assembly will not be available to swap on all poles. |
Edit Assembly form
Set the Distance from Upper Level field to adjust the distance of the assembly from the pole top or assembly above. For multiple-bracket vertical assemblies, the distance from upper level value for that assembly is measured from the top-most bracket. The distance from upper level value for lower assemblies use the bottom-most bracket as a starting point.

Click and hold the red arrow on top of the assembly. Move the mouse up and down to adjust the height. Release mouse button to set. Moving a multiple-bracket vertical assembly will move all insulators
A macro assembly (line and buck) is designed to handle extreme angles in a profile. If one is available in the Assembly list, you can select it in the Swap Assembly form to accommodate profiles with line angles that produce too great a force for an inline assembly to handle.
Once you select a macro assembly and click Swap, the Swap Assembly form closes and an Edit Assembly form opens. The 3D view displays the new line and buck with both assemblies highlighted yellow. Cables are automatically distributed across the assemblies with jumpers added to continue the circuits.
You can set the angles of both assemblies individually on this form, or select the Auto Angle checkbox. Selecting Auto Angle will set the line and buck assemblies perpendicular to their respective incoming or outgoing conductors. Just as with inline assemblies, you can adjust the height of both cross arms in a macro assembly directly in the 3D canvas.
Swap Line with Buck
Press this button to swap the upper assembly with the lower one. You will notice a change only if the two assemblies are of different types.
Double-click an item associated with an assembly to open the item's edit form.

In 3D view you can target an assembly's component to edit by holding the Shift key and double-clicking the component on the canvas. |

If a pin is paired, then both pins move the same distance when either is relocated. |
