Troubleshooting: Why has Responder performance slowed?

If Responder functionality that used to be fast has slowed to an unbearable pace, you may have an overloaded message queue. This problem usually indicates that the rxserver_ack queue has become full of messages. To clean up this message queue and restore your fast-paced Responder, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click My Computer and select Manage.

  2. Browse to Services and Applications | Message Queuing | Private Queues | rxserver_ack.

  3. Expand rxserver_ack to display Queue Messages and Journal Messages.

  4. Select Queue Messages. The messages in this queue are displayed in the right-side window.

  5. Right-click Queue Messages and select All Tasks | Purge to clear out the messages.
