Troubleshooting: Why am I prompted to browse to an executable after clicking the Open Responder Explorer button?

If you click the Open Responder Explorer button in ArcMap and are presented with a Browse dialog, the Responder Explorer executable may have been moved. Responder uses a key in the Registry to identify the location of the Responder Explorer executable. Modify this key to the current location of Miner.Responder.Explorer.exe to correct this issue.

  1. Open the Registry and browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Miner and Miner\Responder8\

  2. The ClientDir key indicates the path to Miner.Responder.Explorer.exe. Right-click ClientDir and select Modify to change this path.

  3. Click OK to save changes.

  4. Close the Registry and click the Open Responder Explorer button again. You do not have to restart ArcMap.
