The Designer Staker Options tab allows you to modify various settings.

Start Options

Use the checkbox to indicate whether to prompt the user with the Start Options dialog after login. Select the checkbox to display the Start Options dialog after the user logs in. This is the default behavior. Unselect the checkbox to open Designer Staker without displaying the Start Options.

Backspan Options

Determines when and how Designer Staker calculates backspans. Backspan is the measurement of the distance to the previous facility in the staking sheet.

Prompt me to verify backspan: This option displays the Backspan dialog where the user can see the backspan as calculated by Staker and modify that value. Modifying the backspan value will move the assembly on the map. Click Cancel to place the assembly with an empty Backspan field.

Calculate backspan automatically: When this option is enabled, Designer Staker calculates the distance to the previous stake in a linear fashion and populates the Backspan field on the staking sheet. The user is not prompted to confirm or enter the backspan distance.
Let me set the backspan manually: This option places the assembly and leaves the backspan field empty on the staking sheet. The user will have to open the staking sheet and manually enter the backspan value.
