Version: 10.1

Resource Center Home

The splice report is a useful tool for displaying all connections that exist at a splice point. A splice report is a graphical schematic of the layout of a splice. This section describes the steps used in creating a splice report.

  1. Click the Splice Report button on the Fiber Manger toolbar.
  2. Use the flag cursor to select the splice location on which you want to create a report. The splice point will appear highlighted when selected.
  3. The splice report displays in your web browser. In the following example, the splice point number 324 contains two fiber optic cables. The splice report displays the "from" and "to" connections on either side of a splice point. Buffer color, fiber color, and fiber number information is displayed for the fiber optic cables located in the splice point. Information regarding the splice tray, circuits, splice type, and attenuation loss for the splice point is located on the far right side of the report.
