ArcFM Engine provides view, edit and query tools for your geodatabase. Because ArcFM Engine is a more lightweight platform, it is better-suited for field users than the ArcFM Desktop applications. ArcFM Engine provides Mobile applications meant to be used in the field as well as a Viewer application that can be used to navigate your data.
ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine ArcFM Viewer, based on Esri's ArcGIS Engine, provides a high-performance, robust query and display tool. With ArcFM Viewer, utility personnel can view, trace, and query data to help minimize cost or optimize the investment in maintenance and construction to get the most from the facility network. |
Geodatabase Replication allows you to quickly synchronize a personal geodatabase with the most recent version of an SDE geodatabase. |
The following links will be available only if you have the application installed and the proper licensing. Contact Telvent for licensing information.
This section discusses the tools provided with Redliner. This extension allows for graphic markup (redlining) within the frameworks of ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine as well as the ArcFM Mobile Solution. A session may be redlined in the field using ArcFM Viewer then sent to a GIS editor for feature placement using ArcGIS for Desktop Standard/ArcFM. If you elect to use Mobile, it must first be configured (see the Mobile section of the Configuring ArcFM Solution online help). |
The Mobile section discusses how you can use the Redliner and/or Inspector tools in the field using various configurations. If you elect to use Mobile, it must first be configured (see the Mobile section of the Configuring ArcFM Solution online help). |
This section discusses the tools provided with Inspector. This extension allows for editing of non-spatial attributes for existing features as well as graphic markup (redlining) within the frameworks of ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine as well as the ArcFM Mobile Solution. A session may be edited in the field using ArcFM Viewer then sent to a GIS editor for feature placement using ArcGIS for Desktop Standard/ArcFM. If you elect to use Mobile, it must first be configured (see the Mobile section of the Configuring ArcFM Solution online help). |
Designer Staker is an application that incorporates staking sheets into the ArcFM Solution work flow. Staker can be used in the enterprise office or in the field. For example, users in the field can mark up a staking sheet and then send it to the enterprise office. Users at the enterprise office can then use Workflow Manager to receive the staking sheet. An easy-to-use wizard walks the user through creating the assemblies the stakers will need. |
Session Manager allows the user to create an edit session in which he can edit features. After the edits are complete, the user forwards the session through a utility-specific approval process managed by Session Manager. |
Workflow Manager is a powerful tool to create and track work requests and their associated designs. This tool also offers Work Management System functionality that allows you to track the costs associated with a work request throughout its lifecycle. |
ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine and its compatible extensions provide varying levels of editing capabilities. The Redliner and Inspector extensions require ArcFM Viewer with ArcGIS Engine along with its valid licensing. However, these two extensions do not rely upon one another and may be used independently.
