ArcFM Desktop Overview > ArcFM > Autotext > Sample Autotext Elements |
ArcFM provides several sample autotext elements. Others may be added programmatically by your developer (see ArcFM Solution Resource Center). Only the field names for the Page Number and Map Production Primary Display Field elements will be displayed in the Map Production Preview screen. Their actual values are determined upon printing.
Adjacent Grid autotext elements locate the map grids adjacent to the grid currently being plotted and displays the value in their Primary Display Field. In the example below, the Map Grid IDs of the adjacent map grids are circled in red. If you wish to change the field value displayed, change the Primary Display field for the Map Grid (or ArcFM Map Grid) feature class (see Configuring ArcFM Solution, ArcFM Properties Manager section for information about modifying your Primary Display Field). This autotext element requires proper configuration. Refer to the Configuration Guide for details.
Current Date inserts the current date. The format is dictated by your computer settings.
User Name enters the login name of the user currently logged in to ArcMap.
Page Number adds a page number in the following format: Page X of Y. Y is equal to the number of plots. If any of the plots have multiple pages, Y will be incorrect. See Customizing ArcFM for information about creating custom Autotext elements.
Map Production Primary Display Field enters the primary display field of the layer selected in the Map Set Features field on the ArcFM Map Production window. In the example below, the text element would be the Map Sheet ID of the Map Grid layer. If you wish to change the field value displayed, change the Primary Display field for the Map Grid (or ArcFM Map Grid) feature class (see Configuring ArcFM Solution, ArcFM Properties Manager section for information about modifying your Primary Display Field).
