ArcFM Desktop Overview > ArcFM > Features List > Favorites |
Favorites organize and save attribute values of often-used features. A favorite consists of a single feature with a user or an administrator pre-determining its attributes. The administrator sets up system favorites in ArcCatalog or ArcMap. Users can view or place (but not edit) system favorites in ArcMap. Users can also create user favorites in ArcMap.
Designer Users: If you want to create a favorite that can be added to a design, right-click System Favorites on the compatible units (CU) list and select Create Favorite, then use CUs from the CU list to create your favorite rather than features. Use the Work Function field at the top of the CUs list to assign a work function value to each CU added to the favorite. The CU will be assigned the work function in this field when it is added to the favorite. A GIS unit (GU) cannot contain CUs with duplicate work functions (i.e., two Install CUs or two Remove CUs).
Work Function field is set to Install, so the added CU has a work function of Install.
There are a couple ways to create favorites.
Right-click an existing favorite and select Edit Favorite. This displays the Edit Favorite dialog.
Edit the favorite's attributes in the object editor grid. Any attributes that have been edited are displayed with blue field labels. The Create Copy button is discussed later in this section.
Delete: To delete an existing favorite, right-click it and select Delete.
