When upgrading to 9.3 or newer, it is critical that your 9.2.1 configuration be exactly right. If any aspect of the configuration is missed or incorrect, the Fiber Stand Alone Conversion tool will fail. Once the Fiber Stand Alone Conversion tool fails, it cannot be rolled back and you will have to strip out the configuration and start over. Verify that the model names are assigned and domains are named properly (Verify Domain Values section) as shown below before advancing to the next step.

Running these tools reduces the number of items you need to manually enter.

Verify Domain Values

The following topics list the current model names included in the Fiber Object Class Model Name domain and the Fiber Field Model Name domain. You can check the domains by selecting the geodatabase, select Properties, then go to the Domains tab. The domains MUST be named as shown here: Fiber Object Class Model Name and Fiber Field Model Name. If they are named differently, the Fiber Stand Alone Conversion tool will fail.
