Configuring the ArcFM Solution Overview > ArcCatalog Tools > ArcFM Solution Toolbar > Create/Update ArcFM Solution System Tables |
If you're creating a new ArcFM geodatabase in Oracle or SQLServer, you can edit the DBTUNE file to contain the proper keywords. To gain performance benefits, do this before creating the ArcFM Solution system tables. |
Create/Update ArcFM Solution System Tables adds tables to a new database. The administrator, who needs to be logged in as the SDE user, runs this tool once to generate tables required by ArcFM to support Page Templates, Stored Displays, Documents, and Favorites, etc. When creating or updating ArcFM system tables, be sure to grant read and write privileges to other users. The ArcFM system tables and their fields are defined in the Appendix. When using this tool, all other users must be disconnected from the database. If another user is connected, you will receive an error message.
The following ArcFM system tables are created:
MM_CLASS_MODELNAMES
MM_DOCUMENTS
MM_FIELD_MODELNAMES
MM_HIDDEN_PACKAGES
MM_PACKAGES
MM_PAGE_TEMPLATES
MM_PERSIST_INFO
MM_SNAPPING
MM_STORED_DISPLAYS
MM_SYSTEM_DOCUMENTS
MM_SYSTEM_PACKAGES
MM_SYSTEM_PAGE_TEMPLATES
MM_SYSTEM_PERSIST_INFO
MM_SYSTEM_STORED_DISPLAYS
A progress bar in the bottom left corner of ArcCatalog indicates the tool's status:
Once the tool is finished creating system tables, the ArcFM Info Log displays the associated messages:
Each of these tables must have the ARCFMSYSTEMTABLE model name assigned. The Appendix offers a list of the MM System Tables and descriptions of their fields.
