To configure the Manual Angle Setter as the default:
In ArcCatalog, right-click the feature class and select the ArcFM Properties Manager.
Select the Object Info tab.
Select ArcFM Manual Angle Setter in the Create Edit Task field.
Click OK.

The steps above are entirely optional. However, if you decide to perform them, it is required that you assign the SYMBOLROTATION model name to the Symbol Rotation field. If you set up your geodatabase according to the Basic ArcFM Configuration instructions, the Symbol Rotation field should already have that model name assigned. |
Set the symbol rotation style:
In ArcMap, right-click the feature class on the List by Drawing Order tab of the table of contents.
Select Properties.
Click the Symbology tab.
Click the Advanced button and choose Rotation.
In the dropdown select the SymbolRotation field.
Select a rotation style: Geographic or Arithmetic.
Click OK.

Unless you save the properties of this layer in a map document, layer file, stored display, or document, you need to set the symbol rotation field each time you add that layer to a map. |
