Change Location Feature

Available in Responder Explorer.

Change Location Feature allows the user to select a non-electric device to replace a non-electric device on an incident. The feature in the incident is removed, and the feature selected on the map is added to the incident. This tool works with unconfirmed non-electric devices. The Change Location Feature tool is NOT available on confirmed and probable location features.

Quick Steps

Change Location Feature

  1. Right-click unconfirmed location feature.
  2. Select Change Location Feature.
  3. In ArcMap, click a location feature.
  4. Modify the Edit New Location Feature window.
  5. Click OK.
  1. Right-click an unconfirmed location feature and select Change Location Feature.
  2. In ArcMap, the cursor changes:
  3. Click a non-electric feature to replace the feature currently selected in the incident.
  4. You may modify the following field on the Edit Location Feature window: Time of Report, Confirmed, and Remarks.
  5. Click OK to save changes and dismiss the form.

Changing a fault may affect prediction.
