Configure Windows Firewall

Configure the Windows Firewall to allow users access to the web server. If you do not perform this configuration, users will not be able to access the web server.

Windows 7/Windows Server 2008

Windows 7/Windows Server 2008

  1. From the Windows Control Panel, select System and Security.
  2. Select Windows Firewall, then Allowed Programs.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Web Management Service (HTTP) for your Network type (Domain, Home/Work (Private), or Public).
  4. Click OK.

 

Windows 2003

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Windows Firewall.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Settings button for Network Connection Settings.
  5. Select the checkbox next to Web Server (HTTP).
  6. Click OK.
