Configuring Responder
Modify Domain Values

Version: 10.2.1c and 10.2.1c SP3

Resource Center Home

You may modify the domain values displayed in Responder Explorer drop-downs using the DatabaseSchemaConfig.xml file.

In the example below, "Tidal Wave" was added to the list of options in the Weather field on the Edit Incident tab. Changes to DatabaseSchemaConfig.xml do not go into effect until DataServices.exe has been restarted. To use a different value other than one provided in the domain by default, we recommend creating a new value (see note) and deleting the existing value.

Schneider Electric reserves all domain values 11-99. Creating new values that are 100 or higher greatly reduces the possibility that we will add a value that overwrites a custom value. Notice in the example below that a customer-specific Tidal Wave entry is assigned a value of 100 (in the XML).
