Configuring Responder
Assign Switch Order Map Model Names

Version: 10.2.1c and 10.2.1c SP3

Resource Center Home

These steps are required.

In order to utilize the map view when creating Switch Order Requests, the RXINCIDENTDEVICE and RXINCIDENTFEATURE model names need to be added to the Identify Tool Object Class Model Name domain. This allows for snapping to a device on the Responder Switch Order Requests map.

The owner of the domain must be the same user from the Responder configuration files that accesses the geodatabase.

In addition, if you assign the FACILITYID model name to a field on any feature class to which RXINCIDENTDEVICE OR RXINCIDENTFEATURE are assigned, you must ensure that this field is visible in both the ArcFM Properties and the MXD used for your map service. If you do not do this, you can not select features in this feature class to be included as part of a Switch Order Request.

  1. Ensure that you have the Identify Tool Object Class Model Name domain setup in ArcCatalog. For more information on setting up this custom model name domain, see the Configure Identify Tool topic in the ArcFM Desktop Configuration help.
  2. In ArcCatalog, right-click the geodatabase and select Properties.
  3. On the Domains tab, scroll to and click the "Identify Tool Object Class Model Name" domain.
  4. In the Coded Values table, add the following:
    Code: Description:
RXINCIDENTDEVICE RX Incident Device Model Name
RXINCIDENTFEATURE RX Incident Feature Model Name
  5. Click OK.
