Responder Mobile Overview > Sync |
Your administrator may have set up Responder Mobile to synchronize at regular intervals. This interval is visible in the Settings section (Sync Delay field). If you don't want to wait for the next automatic Sync, you can click the Sync button to manually retrieve data and send any changes to the Enterprise. This tool requires a network connection. A Connected icon in the top right corner of Responder Mobile indicates a working connection.
The field crew can click the Sync button to immediately retrieve incident data (assuming there is a valid network connection) and send any changes to the Enterprise. If the field crew has a task open, only that task will be synchronized with the Enterprise. If the crew has no task open, then all tasks will be synchronized with the Enterprise. When the field crew closes the Responder Mobile application, all tasks are synchronized.
Changes to an incident in the field are not sent back to the Enterprise until the user closes the incident on the Current Task pane or clicks Sync with the task open. If the field user clicks Save but does not click Close, the changes will not be sent with the next automatic synchronization. Once the incident has been saved and closed, the next sync will send those changes to the dispatcher on the Enterprise.
