Fiber Trace Report

The Fiber Trace report displays the results of a Fiber Trace, OTDR Trace, or Circuit Trace within a web browser. The format of the report varies according to trace type.

Fiber Trace

The highlighted row on the report indicates the trace origin. If you use directional tracing, the highlighted row appears at the top of the report. If you do not use directional tracing, the highlighted row can appear any where in the report. This report shows a directional fiber trace:

In order to view the Fiber Trace Report in the style shown above, you may need to delete the existing Trace_Report.xsl file from your ...\AppData\Local\Temp directory.
The contents of the Additional Information column can be configured by an administrator.

 

OTDR Trace

This report shows an OTDR trace:

 

Circuit Trace

The circuit trace report shows splice points, fibers, and end devices that are part of the circuit.

 

  • Make sure the web browser settings allow the display of blocked content. See your web browser help to determine how to set the display features.
  • Make sure the resolution is set correctly. Higher resolutions, such as 1680x1050, may cause the report to display in a less than optimum manner. See your web browser help to determine how to set the display features.
