Fiber Manager Configuration > Configure Connection Manager |
Use the FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD field model name to add columns to Connection Manager.
Do not assign the FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD field model name to the F_FIBERCONNECTIONOBJECT table. The FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD field model name should only be assigned to fields on connectable objects such as strands, buffertubes, and cables. |
For example, you may want to see the name of a fiber optic cable displayed in the Connection Manager. To add the new column, assign the FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD field model name to the CABLENAME field in the Field Model Names tab:
The data belonging to a fiber optic cable's CABLENAME field now appears in a new column in Connection Manager:
Do not assign FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD and FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYSORTFIELD to the same field. |
You can adjust the number of trays that appear in the Connection Manager's Tray drop-down menu. Simply add a domain to your database named TrayNumber and populate its Coded Values fields with the number of trays you want.
In this domain, Connection Manager displays only the numbers you provide in the Code fields, and ignores the values in the Description fields.
