Design Optimization - Assign Model Names

Design Optimization requires that the following model names be assigned to the specified feature classes (in green). Your feature layer may be named slightly different.

Parcel

Design Optimization uses this polygon feature layer for several tasks, including determination of service point locations and clustering for the design optimizer.

Model name: PARCELPOLY

StreetCenterline

For the operations that perform parcel aggregation, Design Optimization uses street centerlines to determine neighbors for the selected parcels.

Model name: STREETCENTERLINE

Primary Display Field: Parcel groups are labeled using the Primary Display field on the Street Centerline feature. Set this value (Field Display tab) to the field that contains the information you wish to view in the tree when the Group Parcels or Optimize and Complete Secondary Circuits tasks are selected. The sample data uses the STNAME field.
