ArcFM Desktop Configuration Guide
Step 9: Assign Autoupdaters

Version: 10.2.1c and 10.2.1c SP3

Resource Center Home

Assign autoupdaters to the following classes via their Object info tab in the ArcFM Properties Manager.

If you have a simple-edge network, you should assign the ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance AU to the On Feature Split event for simple edge features. If there are multiple AUs, this should be the last AU assigned. You should also set Split On Edit to yes for all junction features that connect to simple edges.

Busbar, PriOHElectricLineSegment, PriUGElectricLineSegment,
SecOHElectricLineSegment, SecUGElectricLineSegment

The following autoupdaters should be assiged to all linear feature classes that conduct electricity, i.e., all edge feature classes in the geometric network.

Event Autoupdater
On Feature Create ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
On Feature Update ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Subsource Level
On Feature Delete ArcFM Feeder Subsource Level

CircuitSource, CircuitSourceID

Event Autoupdater
On Feature Update ArcFM Internal FeederID Update

DynamicProtectiveDevice, Fuse, Switch, OpenPoint, PrimaryMeter

The following autoupdaters should be assiged to any junction class that can have subsource features. Be sure that for each event, the following autoupdaters are assigned in the order listed.

Event Autoupdater
On Feature Create ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
On Feature Create ArcFM Feeder Subsource Relator
On Feature Create ArcFM Feeder Subsource Name
On Feature Create ArcFM Feeder Subsource Level
On Feature Create ArcFM Feeder Internal FeederID Create
On Feature Create ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance (assigned automatically when you enable FM 2.0)
On Feature Update ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Subsource Relator
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Subsource Name
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Subsource Level
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Internal FeederID Update
On Feature Update ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance (assigned automatically when you enable FM 2.0)
On Feature Delete ArcFM Delete Feeder Object
On Feature Delete ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance (assigned automatically when you enable FM 2.0)
If you also use the ArcFM Segment Split autoupdater and plan to create nested transformer subsources in your network, be sure that the ArcFM Segment Split autoupdater preceeds both the ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight and the ArcFM Feeder Internal FeederID Create autoupdaters in the list.

DynamicProtDev_CircuitSource relationship class

Event Autoupdater
On Relationship Created ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance (assigned automatically)
On Relationship Deleted ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance (assigned automatically)

Transformer, ServicePoint

The following autoupdaters should be assiged to any junction class that has a phase designation and/or is switchable, but is not configured to have subsource features.

Event Autoupdater
On Feature Create ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
On Feature Update ArcFM Generic Electric Trace Weight
