Appendix > Fiber Manager Data Model > TowerPoint |
This feature is used to display the physical location of a tower used for microwave communications. This point feature can have one or many antenna attached. These antenna are represented as related objects in the database because they would overlap one another if they were represented as point features.
Attributes (required fields in red): TowerID: text - This field stores the unique company assigned number that identifies the tower. TowerOwner: text - This field denotes who owns the tower asset, but not necessarily the antenna attached to it. TowerManufacturer: text - This is the company that built the tower. This information is useful if a warranty exists or parts must be replaced on the tower. AntennaStructureRegistration: text - This is the registration number that is filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for any antenna structure more than 200 feet tall or located near an airport. TowerHeight: long integer - This is the total height of the antenna structure measured from its base to the top of the structure. GroundElevation: long integer - This is the elevation of the base of the antenna as measured in feet (in the US) above sea level. This can be represented as meters above sea level in other countries or even with certain organizations in the US. GlobalID: GlobalID - This field contains a unique number (GUID) that is generated and maintained by ArcGIS. This value is used for all relationships in the ArcFM data model and is required for Fiber Manager to function properly.
