The user has the choice of representing NetworkProtector as either an object related to transformer or as a network feature. If it is a network feature, it inherits from ProtectiveDevice.
Network transformers connect to the secondary network through a network protector. NetworkProtector components may be the circuit breaker, relays, backup fuses, and controls required for automatically disconnecting a transformer from the secondary network in response to predetermined conditions on primary feeder or transformer.
