Set Up Send/Receive

You may execute the Send/Receive Mobile Data task (included in the sample Process Framework databases) to manually send and receive mobile sessions and designs from the field and on the Enterprise database. If you elect to execute this task manually, no further configuration is necessary. If you'd like to automate this process, then select an option for configuration. Both are described below.

While the Mobile Synchronizer is still supported, Schneider Electric recommends using the Process Framework Replica for sending/receiving mobile data. The Process Framework Replica allows you to configure and maintain synchronization information in one place, while the Mobile Synchronizer maintains this data in two places. Also, if you're using a Process Framework Replica, you can use the Windows Task Scheduler to schedule updates.

Configure only one of the following:

Process Framework Replica: This method uses the Geodatabase Replication tool to execute the Send/Receive Mobile Data task at specific intervals.
Mobile Synchronizer: This is a stand-alone tool that executes the Send/Receive Mobile Data task.
