The Responder Mobile settings display the location of your map service as well as the Mobile Service that transfers incidents between the field and Enterprise. These fields may be set to view-only by your administrator.
Styling
- Enable Animations: By default this checkbox is enabled. Unselect the checkbox to disable animations in Responder Mobile. Disabling animation may improve performance.
- Skin: If you have created a custom skin, you can select it from the pull-down menu. By default, only one option exists.
Task Service
- Sync Delay: This value determines how often Responder Mobile in the field attempts to synchronize with the Enterprise (i.e., send/receive incident data) when a connection exists. Responder Mobile will cease to automatically synchronize when the connection is lost. It will continue when the connection is re-established. The default setting is 5 minutes.
- Web Service Login: This field is only necessary if you have enabled security on your MobileServices web service. By default, security is turned off and you can leave this field blank.
- Web Service Password: This field is only necessary if you have enabled security on your MobileServices web service. By default, security is turned off and you can leave this field blank.
- Web Service URL: This is the URL of the MobileServices web service.
Map
- Map Server Path: This is the path to the map service that contains the layers on which field users may place incidents and hazards.
- Local Map Cache Path: The MobileServices web services synchronizes with the SQL Server Express database and stores a cache locally to ensure the data is available when the field user is not connected. This folder MUST have the same name as the map service.
