Failed to Sync with Task Server

If Responder Mobile fails to synchronize with the task server, you may not have permissions assigned properly in the SQL Express database.

Ensure the user responsible for running the Mobile Service must have the proper permissions assigned in the SQL Express database. To do this, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Open the SQL Express database.
  2. Expand the Responder Mobile database (e.g., ResponderDatabase) and expand Security > Users.
  3. Right-click the user responsible for running the Mobile Web Service and select Properties. If you're using an XP machine, this user will be machinename\ASPNET (machinename = the name of the local machine). If you're using a Windows Server machine, select the Application Pool ID. If you are using a Windows 7 OS machine, the typical user is NT AUTHORITY\Network Service.
  4. In the Database Role Membership field, select db_owner.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Close the SQL Express database.
