ArcFM Desktop Overview > Designer > Secondary Circuit Analysis > Service Point Properties |
Use the Service Point properties form to analyze "what if" scenarios for kVA Load on Transformer and Voltage Drop. The Voltage Drop calculation determines how much the voltage decreases through the transformer and along the secondary and service lines to the service point. Use the Service Point properties form to modify the kVA of load being supplied to the service point (Load field).
To access the Service Point Properties menu, right click a service point in the Secondary Circuit Analysis window and select Properties from the resulting menu.

The Ok field (present also in each of the other properties dialogs discussed below) is a label for identifying elements in the circuit model. It is initially derived from identifying properties of the corresponding GIS feature (if there is one-otherwise an arbitrary value is generated). You can edit the Ok value.
The Load and Power Factor fields describe the load at the service point. These values are used in the voltage drop calculation.
The Voltage and Fault fields in this dialog display the computed values for the service point and are not editable fields.
The Service Load Worksheet helps estimate the maximum load at the service point based on properties of the service. The output of the worksheet is placed in the Total Estimated Load kVA field, which represents the maximum connected load for the service point. The Scale Multiplier field on the Service Point Properties window is a percentage that is applied to the connected kVA load to determine the actual kVA demand that will be used by the voltage drop calculation.
If you click the Apply button, the tool multiplies the Total Estimated Load kVA by the Scale Multiplier to determine the Load. You may also bypass the Service Load Worksheet altogether and manually enter a figure directly into the Load field at the top of the dialog.
