Create Domains

There are several domains that may be created to work with Gas Tracing. These domains provide the coded values for various functionality within Gas Tracing. Below are the domains that are provided with the ArcFM Solution sample data. Except for the Material Conductivity domain, you may name the domains as you like and modify the Description values as needed. Do not alter Code values.

While the following two domains have similar names, they have different field types. When assigning domains to fields, the domains are filtered by field type. So you will never see a domain with a field type of text while viewing a field with a field type of long integer.

Note for GasTraceWeight Autoupdaters: In addition to other factors, material type determines conductivity for cathodic protection purposes. Review the Material Conductivity Domain section in the Configure Domains for Cathodic Protection topic for guidance in adding material types or subtypes to your geodatabase.
