If you install IIS after installing .NET, the following error message may occur:

"Failed to access IIS metabase."

Cause:

ASP.NET needs to be registered with IIS.

Solution:

1. Open a command prompt.
2. Go to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
3. Enter aspnet_regiis -ir
