If you start up the State Service, the following error message may occur:

"The type initializer from 'Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection' threw an exception. --> Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException. The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleInit.Initialize()"

Cause:

ODAC is not installed on the machine running the State Service.

Solution:

Install ODAC on the machine running the State Service. This should be the same version as the version of Oracle Client installed on the Responder Server machine.
