Follow these steps to add a neutral bracket to an assembly:
- Click the plus (+) symbol next to the inline assembly name.
- Select Neutral Bracket from the fly-out menu.
Only one neutral bracket is allowed per assembly (although eye bolts can be paired). - Select the Bracket Spec from the drop-down list. This list is populated with any spool brackets, eye bolts, or upset bolts created in Assembly Creator. Refer to the Bracket Hardware topic for information on creating these brackets.
- Select the Insulator Spec from the drop-down list. The list is populated with any valid insulators for the bracket type created in Assembly Creator. Each time the value of the list changes, the canvas will display the current selection highlighted in yellow. Refer to the Insulator topic in this guide for information on creating these components.
Eye bolts can only accept suspension insulators. Spool brackets and upset bolts accept only spool-type insulators. - If the bracket is an eye bolt, select the Paired checkbox to create a second eye bolt with an attachment point on the opposite side of the pole.
- Set the Distance from Upper Level. This value represents the distance from a cross arm or vertical bracket above the neutral you are placing. If there is no cross arm or bracket above the neutral, the distance is from the pole's top.
- Click Create. Assembly Creator adds the bracket to the assembly and removes any highlighting.

Because Assembly Creator does not model the exact physical specifications of brackets, the Overhead Design Analysis (OHDA) tool will not calculate transverse wind loads on the equipment. |
