You can use General Options to determine how to treat children of a compatible unit (CU) that you delete or split.

1. Select Tools > Designer Options > General tab.

2. Indicate the appropriate settings.
   • Delete all its children: will delete all CUs or features associated with a Work Location.
   • Leave spatial children: will leave all features containing spatial information and delete all non-spatial children.
   • Leave all its children: will delete no children. This is the default setting.
3. Click OK.
4. On the Design tab, right-click the Work Location (WL) and select Delete.

The WL and its children will be modified according to the Designer Options setting on the General tab.
