Map Production also provides the ability to plot a single map grid within a map set. Simply right-click a map set in the Map Book Explorer and select Plot. You may not close ArcMap while plotting. You must save edits before previewing or plotting a map. Only saved edits will be shown.

The Plot window allows the user to select the specific map grid(s) and click a button below to plot, export, print to file or schedule a plot.

Immediately plots the selected map grid(s). |
Export |
Exports the selected map grid(s) to an image file (e.g., .emf, .cgm, .eps, .ai, .pdf, .bmp, .tif, .jpg, .pcx, .png). |
Print to File |
Exports the selected map grid(s) to a .prn file. |
Schedule Plot |
Allows the user to determine when the selected map grid(s) should be plotted. See Schedule Plot. |
Designer Note: You must save edits before previewing or plotting a map. Only saved edits will be shown. If you create a map book from a newly-created design, no features will appear in a plot or preview until the design has been saved. A Design Stored Display is created only when the design is saved.
